What is C.H.I.?
The underlying management model in many facilities still relies on manual checks, fixed schedules, and reactive complaint handling. As facilities get larger and busier, this approach becomes increasingly inefficient, difficult to audit, and hard to optimise. Bidvest Steiner created C.H.I. (Connected Hygiene Intelligence) to close this gap. It's a smart hygiene and operations management platform that gives facilities teams real-time visibility into washroom usage, stock levels, service activity, and customer experience.
Sensor Network
Sensors installed in dispensers in washrooms monitor consumable levels and foot traffic in real time. Vape sensors monitor air quality and smoking activity to ensure compliance and wellness. All sensors connect to a reporting dashboard and sends instant notifications on WhatsApp.
Instant Feedback
Washroom screens let users give instant thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback. A thumbs-down triggers a WhatsApp cleaning task to the cleaner. Allowing managers to track the washroom experience against real visitor numbers.
Smart Replenishment
Toilet paper, soap, and other consumables are monitored whithin dispensers. Notifications are sent via WhatsApp to restock before they run out. This reduces the risk of having empty dispensers causing a negative washroom experience.
Central Dashboard
All activity flows into a central reporting dashboard, giving managers clear insight into service performance and staff responsiveness across every building.
