Blue Planet is a structured, biology-based fly management programme built around ACF-32, a viable bacterial culture that produces enzymes to break down the organic matter that flies are attracted to and breed in. Applied to drains, fat traps, waste areas, and processing floors, it progressively reduces the odours and organic substrates that sustain fly populations making treated environments less attractive and less viable for breeding over successive treatment cycles. The programme has demonstrated consistent results across abattoirs, poultry operations, food processing plants, commercial kitchens, livestock facilities, and equestrian estates.
Blue Planet is chemical-free, classified as biosafety level 1, and safe for use in hygiene-regulated and food-sensitive environments. It can be deployed as a standalone programme or integrated within an existing pest management framework.
Does Blue Planet kill flies?

Blue Planet changes the environmental conditions in which flies breed, reducing organic matter, eliminating attractant odours, and degrading larval habitats over successive treatment cycles. This produces a sustained reduction in fly pressure rather than a temporary decrease in adult populations.
Which environments is Blue Planet suited to?
Blue Planet performs best where fly pressure is driven by organic loading such as abattoirs, food processing plants, poultry and livestock operations, commercial kitchens, waste storage facilities, wastewater treatment works, and equestrian estates. The biological activity operates optimally between 15 and 45 degrees Celsius, aligning well with South African conditions.
How long does it take to see results with Blue Planet?
Results vary depending on the size of the site, the level of organic loading, and environmental conditions. However, the programme has demonstrated significant reductions in fly activity within the first treatment cycle. At a high-throughput abattoir, fly activity in treated areas reduced to negligible levels within two weeks of initial application.
